Midland boys’ JV lacrosse dropped a nail-biter 11-12 against perennial powerhouse, Hartland, Tuesday evening.
Midland hung with the Eagles all game and had an opportunity to tie the score in the final minute, but came up short. Head coach, Chad Stearns, commented, “Despite being short-handed my guys battled to the horn. Many of them had personal best games, but sometimes that’s just not enough. To hang with a team the caliber of Hartland means we’re heading in a positive direction.”

Sepp Pitt led Midland scorers with 5 goals and 2 assists. Cal Stearns added 2 goals and 3 assists while Lars George scored 2 goals as well. Jason Labby added a goal and an assist and Matthew Witt scored 1 goal. Tate Clerc made 9 saves in goal.
Midland hosts Lansing Catholic on Thursday.
