The girls Varsity lacrosse team defeated Salem High School on Saturday afternoon 17-5.  This brings the varsity record to 10-1 so far this season.  Scoring was led by Emma Murphy with 6 goals and 2 assists, followed by Gabrielle Wilson 4 goals + 1 assist, Grace Wilson 3 goals + 1 assist, Delaney Abbott with 2 goals and Margaret Gandy and Chelsea Long each added a goal.  Also Jordan Malace added 2 assists and finally Brooke Stemler added an assist to round out the day.  Ella Lane was in goal with 7 saves.  The game was back and forth with goals for the first 7 minutes, but after a time out and some 'team lead' changes to the defense, Salem did not score the rest of the game. The girls lacrosse team will compete at home this week, both Tuesday and Thursday at the MHS stadium and finish the week with a game at Lake Orion on Friday.
