Boys JV Handles Grosse Pointe South 17-9

Midland boys’ JV lacrosse stayed on a roll against Grosse Pointe South beating the Blue Devils 17-9.

Head coach, Chad Stearns, commented, “It was a great win against a great program. To see the progress our boys have made this season and the challenges they have overcome to do so, makes it very rewarding. I’m incredibly proud to share the sideline and represent Midland with these guys!”

Cal Stearns led all scorers with 5 goals and 5 assists; his highest point total of of the season. Lars George and Sepp Pitt played great games at attack scoring 4 goals with 3 assists and 3 goals with 2 assists respectively. Garrett Wilson scored 2 goals with 1 assist while Tucker Pomranky scored 1 goals and had 2 assists. Kyle Leigeb scored 2 goals and Conor Dunlap added an assist.
Dawson Studebaker led the ground ball charge snagging 7 gb’s and Tate Clerc made 13 saves in goal.

Midland, now 12-4, heads to Grosse Pointe North high school on Saturday for what looks to be their season finale against Warren De Le Salle.
