We've been holding out hope that we could salvage some kind of abbreviated youth spring lacrosse season, but with last week's executive order closing K-12 schools through the remainder of the school year and the MHSAA's announcement of the cancellation of the spring sports season...the Midland Lacrosse Club board has concluded that our spring season must be cancelled for 2020.

We will be sending a separate email to everyone who was registered for the spring youth season with information about how to obtain refunds. You should expect to receive that email soon.

As we have communicated previously, we had been planning to re-launch the local, low-cost Saginaw Valley 989 Summer Lacrosse program for the summer of 2020 in partnership with some of the other lacrosse clubs in the area. Our initial plan was to focus primarily on high school ages this summer and then add teams for younger players in future years. However, given that the youth will be missing their entire spring season, we've decided try to offer teams for the 10U age group and older this summer. We may also do something informal for 8U, but the summer tournaments don't have 8U divisions. Of course, the summer season is more than two months away, and we don't know to what extent it will be affected by the current crisis. We'll plan to be flexible and make adjustments as necessary.

More info about the 989 program can be found here: http://989lax.com

Additionally, we'd like to continue encourage everyone to stay physically active and not forget do wall ball when you can this spring while staying safe.
