Midland's head coach Kurt Brillhart commented: "Heritage has a talented group of players who really gave us a battle. We gave up a large number of goals in penalty situations or in transition, and that hurt us. We need to clean up some of those mistakes, but I was proud of the boys for persevering and getting the win."

Midland's next game is against Haslett on the campus of Alma College on Friday evening.
