Lexa Wild scored four goals with two assists Monday to lead host Midland to a 9-4 win over Saginaw Heritage in girls' lacrosse.

Jordyn Malace added two goals and an assist for Midland, while Maddie Carroll had a goal and two assists, Ashley Neuenfeldt had a goal and five draws, and Helena Nitschky also scored once.

"We came out pretty flat in the first half, not capitalizing on our passes and dropping catches," said Midland coach MacKenzie Lipps. "However, after our halftime talk, the girls were able to come out with high intensity and more energy (in the second half), which completely changed our game."

Gabby Wilson led Midland's defense with four forced turnovers, while goalkeeper Ella Lane made four saves.

Midland (2-1 overall and in the Valley) heads to Hartland on Wednesday.
