The Midland co-op girls' lacrosse team ran into a tough Hartland squad on Wednesday, dropping a 22-4 decision.

"The girls came out super energized for the game," Midland coach Mackenzie Lipps said. "That was something we wanted to focus on after our last game."

Even with the energy, Hartland proved too tough. Jenna Somers scored a pair of goals to lead 2-2 Midland, while Helena Nitschky and Gabby Wilson added single goals. Ella Lane made four saves for Midland, which plays at Davison on Friday.
